Brand Story Video for Oklahoma Youth Orchestras

Oklahoma Youth Orchestras (OKYO) is a nonprofit organization committed to providing high-quality instrumental music education and performance opportunities for students across central and western Oklahoma. Established in 1977 with a mission to create life-changing experiences through music, OKYO serves more than 400 young musicians through twelve ensembles and a summer camp that foster creativity, teamwork, and artistic excellence.
VGM Visual Storytelling partnered with Oklahoma Youth Orchestras to produce a brand story video that celebrates the remarkable talent of its students and teachers while communicating the organization’s mission to a broader audience. The video was created to be a strategic asset for the organization, helping elevate its voice in fundraising initiatives, highlight the story of the year’s achievements, and support student recruitment efforts. Drawing on OKYO’s rich history of music education and performance, the project aimed to visually capture both the artistry and the community impact of the program.
To achieve these goals, our team developed a comprehensive strategy that included immersive storytelling, professional video production, and a tailored distribution plan. During pre-production, we collaborated closely with OKYO leadership to define key narrative elements and identify student and teacher voices that best represented the organization’s values. The production phase focused on authentic footage of rehearsals, performances, and personal reflections, ensuring the video captured the passion and dedication of the OKYO community. Post-production brought the story to life with dynamic editing, music, and pacing that aligned with OKYO’s mission. Finally, we advised on distribution strategies optimized for fundraising campaigns, website placement, and social channels to maximize reach and engagement.
The brand story video has been used as a central fundraising tool during annual campaigns, helping communicate OKYO’s impact to donors and supporters. It has also contributed to student recruitment by offering families a window into the experience of musical growth and community at the heart of the organization.
